Your mission

As an analyst, you belong to the Signals Intelligence department, which conducts signal intelligence according to the law on signal intelligence in defense intelligence operations. The department works with the collection of raw material, processing, and analysis, delivering intelligence reports and other services to the authority's clients.

In the role of analyst, your main tasks will be to process, search, and analyze collected data and information, as well as to produce intelligence reports. You will also work on:

  • Developing methods for collection and analysis.
  • Contributing to the development of national and international collaborations.

Domestic and international travel may occur as part of the assignment. The position involves handling classified information, so it is crucial that you are comfortable managing this.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field for the employer
  • Some work experience in processing and analyzing information
  • A good ability to grasp new technical knowledge
  • Good computer and system skills
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English

We consider it an advantage if you have knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Technical education in IT, networking, or programming
  • Documented database experience
  • Knowledge in Networking
  • Knowledge in IP
  • Knowledge in Telecommunications
  • Basic programming knowledge
  • Education in political science, criminology, statistics, or equivalent education (e.g., linguistics, economics, law)
  • Experience working in a government agency
  • Experience in processing large datasets
  • Work in security/intelligence services or investigative work or analytical work
  • Language skills in Arabic, Turkish, Kurdish, Russian, or other relevant languages

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, about 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will undergo a security review in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment comes with an obligation to be placed in a war situation.
